As we observe Thanksgiving this Thursday, let’s pause and reflect upon verses from GOD’s Word in regard to this theme.
Psalm 95: 1-3:
Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.
Psalm 9:1
I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
Psalm 100:4
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
Colossians 3:15
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Psalm 136: 1-3
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever.
As GOD’s people, as the recipient of His wonderful, enduring love, let us join with the Psalmist in expressing thanks to GOD for His goodness, His love, His grace, His mercy, and His faithfulness. GOD is truly worthy of our thanksgiving.
