God is…

Ephesians 3:20 declares, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”

Because GOD is omniscient (all-knowing), omnipresent (everywhere present) and omnipotent (all-powerful), He is, according to verse 20, “able.” Here is an interesting study. What does GOD’s word say in regard to “GOD is able?”

GOD is able to establish you. Romans 16:25: “Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of JESUS CHRIST, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began.”

GOD is able to provide for you. II Corinthians 9:8: “And GOD is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”

GOD is able to subdue all things to Himself. Philippians 3:21: “Who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.”

GOD is able to preserve our salvation. II Timothy 1:12: “For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless, I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed to Him until that Day.”

GOD is able to deliver you from temptation. Hebrews 2:18: “For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, he is able to aid those who are tempted.”

GOD is able to keep you from falling. Jude 24: “Not to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.”

When we read and reflect upon all GOD is able to do, we join with the apostle Paul, who wrote in Ephesians 3:21: “To Him be glory in the church by CHRIST JESUS throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”
