The purpose of Redemption Hill's Kids Ministry is to lead kids to know Christ and become passionate lifelong followers of Jesus.
Redemption Hill's Family Discipleship Ministry exists to help kids, students, and parents treasure Jesus in a way that they are transformed by Him.
We seek to help kids and students expositionally study, understand, and apply the Bible to their everyday life.
Cultivate a life of grace in salvation and sanctification rather than doing better and trying harder.
Equip kids and students to boldly share the good news of the Gospel with those around them.
Create a place for kids and students to have fun, build relationships, and have accountability.
Impact the entire family for all of life in all areas.
We offer childcare during our Sunday services. Childcare is split up into two age groups: Babies and Toddlers (6 weeks – 3 years), and Preschoolers (3-5-year-olds.)
Your children will learn about the love of God and His Word through song, activities, and play. We look forward to sharing the love of Jesus with your little one! Our nursery and preschool serves to care for your little one in a safe and nurturing environment by teachers and volunteers who have been carefully screened and committed to the safety of your child. Each room is equipped with age-appropriate toys, books, and equipment. The nursery opens 15 minutes prior to AM Bible Studies and the Worship Service.
Kids Church is a fun time full of games, worship, puppets, and a Bible lesson to teach your kids about Christ! Kids Church meets every Sunday at 10:30am in the Big Room on the west side of our campus.
The purpose of our Kids Ministry is to connect kids to Christ so that they become passionate, life-long followers of Jesus. We are committed to providing a safe and fun Bible-based environment to help your kids stand strong on God’s Word! We aim to provide opportunities for kids to serve God and others and give them a heart for the people of the world. It is our privilege to come alongside parents and grandparents to help them raise children who know and love God.
We have several gatherings that your kids can be a part of each week and special events throughout the year.
AWANA is a fun and exciting time with games, Bible lessons, and Scripture memorization. During this time, AWANA Clubbers have an opportunity to earn their awards, badges, and AWANA bucks. We are committed to:
• Providing a safe and fun Bible-based environment
• Opportunities to serve God and others
• Helping parents and grandparents raise kids to know and love God
AWANA meets on Wednesdays from 6-7:30pm during the school year (September-May).
Registration is now open for the AWANA 2024-2025 season. Click or tap below to register!
Cubbies are preschoolers (must be 3 years old by September 15th) up to starting kindergarten.
Sparks are children in kindergarten through 2nd grade.
Truth & Training are those in 3rd-6th grade. We provide two T&T clubs-- one for boys and one for girls.
Trek & Journey is for those in grades 7-12 who are interested in a more in-depth understanding of the Word of God. This is a shorter Bible study time that takes place before our weekly youth group gatherings.
Check out these FAQ’s to learn more about the details around AWANA.
AWANA meets on Wednesday nights from 6:00 – 7:30 PM (check-in begins at 5:45), at Redemption Hill Church, for those ages 3 through 12th grade. Please pick your children up no later than 7:45 PM. No children will be permitted to leave the building unsupervised (this does not pertain to TREK/Journey).
Children starting AWANA receive an entrance booklet. Upon completion of the entrance booklet, clubbers are eligible to purchase a handbook and AWANA uniform (financial assistance is available ). The handbooks include Bible memorization and activities. Parents are encouraged to work with their children in the handbooks.
Clubbers earn AWANA bucks for handbook work and club attendance. We have an AWANA store several times throughout the year where clubbers may redeem their bucks for prizes. All children are recognized at the Awards Ceremony at the end of the year.
Redemption Hill AWANA Clubs are financed partially through clubber dues. Dues are $25 annually (no more than $75 per family). Clubbers are also responsible for the purchase of their uniforms and handbooks. Financial assistance is available. Please speak with Family Discipleship Pastor Austin Dovin for more info.
If AWANA and/or all Wednesday night activities are cancelled due to bad weather, you’ll be notified with a banner across our entire website, we will publish the closure on local news and social media, and send an app notification about it. Closures or cancellations will be posted by 4:30pm on Wednesday. If you are unsure about conditions or the status of a cancellation, please call the office at (719) 596-4461.
Our Sunday morning Bible study gathering is for students grades 6-12 & meets at 9:15am. Grab free donuts & coffee, watch funny videos & share memes, & hear a timely message from God’s Word from our student teaching rotation.
Students are encouraged to attend the worship service with their parents following our morning Bible study.
This is our midweek gathering at 6pm where students grades 6-12 can come hang, get a great snack, play some fun games, and hear a relevant Word from our student teaching rotation.
For those who are interested in a more in-depth understanding of the Word of God, Trek & Journey is a great continuation program from AWANA that emphasizes Scripture memory & Bible literacy.
Please note, all Wednesday PM student activities only take place from September through May. We do not meet in the summer months.
