On Saturday, March 2 at 10:00am, Redemption Hill Church family and friends are invited to come to tour our new church facility under construction. We will have opportunities to write a prayer on the steel wall frames or on the concrete floor.
This event reflects our conviction of the priority and significance of prayer in this time in the history of our church. I John 5:14-15 says, “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” Yes, if we pray “according to His will,” GOD promises to respond.
We will write a variety of prayers on the frames and on the concrete floor. We will pray most of all for GOD to use the facility to make disciples: that a multitude of people will come to faith in JESUS, follow Him in believer’s baptism, be equipped to live the Christian life, and also seek to make disciples.
We will pray for teachers and assistants, who will be tasked with teaching GOD’s Word. We will pray for volunteers, who will serve JESUS and others in the new facility. We will pray for the church leadership team, for GOD to give them wisdom as they lead. We will pray for the worship team as they lead future worship services. We will pray for preachers who will faithfully preach GOD’s Word. We will pray for future events at the new facility. Most of all, we will pray for GOD to be glorified in everything!
I am reminded of Jeremiah 29: 11-13: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
And, as we pray, we are going to be astonished at what GOD does. Ephesians 3: 20-21 says, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the powser that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by CHRIST JESUS throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”
