We have gone through “all the hoops” with the city in regard to our new 37,000 sqare foot campus facility. Our contractor currently has several site preparation projects going right now. As soon as those projects are completed (tentatively the end of August or the start of September), our site preparation work is set to begin.
Weather permitting, the construction process should take approximately 15 months.
One critical component of this process is prayer! Because of the significance of this project, I am calling on our church family to “ramp up” the prayer support.
Beginning this Sunday, I am going to invite our single adults, married adults, and families to devote some time every Sunday afternoon or evening for the next 15 months to pray for this GOD-sized project. I will announce each Sunday morning the specific prayer request for that day. For those who have text messaging capability, they will receive a text message on Sunday after worship with the content for that day’s prayer request.
Imagine the impact of a church family praying every Sunday afternoon and evening for our building project. You can devote just a few minutes to pray, or you can pray for a longer duration of time.
We are entering one of the most exciting and challenging “seasons” in our church’s history. The building process is quite an experience. For valid proof of this statement, read the book of Nehemiah!
Jeremiah 33:3 declares, “‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
